PATON StandardTIG 270 digital inverter welder is optimized for TIG (HF) inert gas shielded arc welding, manual submerged electrode arc welding (MMA) and semi-automatic MIG/MAG arc welding (as a source with external feeder) with direct current. Each of the above mentioned methods allows us to use pulsed current (PULSE function).

The device of “Standard” series, has been designed for consumers requiring a compact housing with an optimal ratio between portability and functionality of the unit with its full rated current of 270 A. The unit is also suitable for “MMA” welding with electrodes from ⌀ 1.6 mm to ⌀ 6.0 mm and semi-automatic “MIG/MAG” arc welding with solid wire from ⌀ 0.6 mm to ⌀ 1.2. The small size of the welder makes it very mobile, which allows it to perform most tasks in the production sector (field work, workshop work, production from thin sheets, repair and maintenance, agriculture, etc.). The use of an inverter block operating at frequencies of the order of kHz, affects the dimensions of the transformer in the power block, which significantly reduces the weight and dimensions of the machine itself.

MAIN ADVANTAGES OF PATON™ DEVICES:

  • European manufacturing
  • Electronic thermal protection system to protect all heat generating components from overheating
  • Reliability thanks to IGBT technology
  • Possibility to work with long extension cables as well as with a generator
  • Pulsed welding (PULSE function)
  • Improved arc glow stability
  • Change mode function 2T, 4T, gas cleaning with feeder function
  • The devices have voltage spike protection and stabilization system, enabling proper operation in the voltage range of 320V to 440V
  • Twice lower power requirements compared to traditional sources
  • Optimum melting and correct stitch shape regardless of welding position

An additional advantage is the presence of the CLEAN mode, which provides cleaning of stainless steel parts and their weld seams from oxides and heat tint, as well as surface polishing to restore its aesthetic appearance and corrosion resistance properties.

To operate in CLEAN mode, it is necessary to additionally purchase a special electrolytic liquid for the passivation of high-alloy steels and a PATON TIG brush. Without these accessories, cleaning and polishing of stainless steel using this function is not possible.

3-year manufacturer’s warranty for consumers and companies

The highest quality workmanship confirmed by a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty. ADI Standard series models are characterized by a compact design that uses a number of innovative technological solutions increasing the reliability of the equipment. The inverter’s reliability in dusty and humid environments has been increased by moving the electronic system to a separate chamber, and the electronics have been impregnated with high-class varnish.

The reduced welding voltage function during manual metal arc welding (MMA), with the possibility of switching it off, allows the device to operate in hazardous environments. The device is equipped with a protection module against incorrect voltage level (overvoltage or voltage drop). PATON™ StandardTIG welders have an operation stabilization system, so they can be powered from a generator.
